2014 is in full swing :) we have looked her in the eye
and determined in our heart to face her with a fresh expectation,
a letting go of the past
and a readiness to do what it takes
to purposefully progress and
grow our home in the next eleven months.

Please welcome the newest member of Hope Harbour.
Miss Amanda arrived on Monday, 20th Jan.
She has not been abandoned, her mother was out of options
as she is unable to afford to raise her, and so little Amanda finds herself in
our safe-keeping until her mom has received the support she needs.
Please keep this brave woman in your prayers as she begins her matric year with an Amanda-sized hole in her soul.
Our newest resident has fitted into the Home’s routine with hardly a hiccup and has established a reputation based on the strength of her vocal cords ;)

Wow, this year was a kick-start for Mr Anele! What better way to start 2014 than to accomplish his walking milestone.
Yes, our ‘gentle-smiley-giant’ has had a
confidence boost and has officially earned the title ‘toddler’.

Our silly Mr Kuhle had a very special court date
in which the magistrate decided that he could stay
on at Hope Harbour for another two years.
We are very excited that we will be able to observe
his next milestones and growth spurts!

Mr Bussanathi seems to have got stuck in his terrible-two behaviour,
but we know that this will pass as soon as he starts to mature emotionally
and as his frustration levels start to drop!
Our tenacious boy may have a forever family to foster him,
and to love on him on a permanent basis…we’re holding thumbs and
praying for God’s perfect will.

Our biggest boy Mr Wobbles is still growing his vocab daily.
When he is on top form we are either blushing from embarrassment
or laughing our heads off.
He has been insisting on helping with household chores, and has,
on his own instinct, become the protective older brother to
baby Amanda
–showing her off to visitors and showering her with kisses :)
