I have been watching Baby Isaac.
Especially early in the morning
when he has had his first bottle and I'm still half asleep.
It's a magical time of reflection.
Today I was marvelling at his growth.
And comparing it to our lives.
Isaac loves his feet :) as do most babies his age.
If he's not tired or hungry and his nappy is clean -
then he can happily lay in his cot
and be fascinated
by these wonderful pieces
that are a part of him
but that he does not yet have 100% control over.
It made me think how
God expects us to do something that's right in front of us
even when we don't fully understand it.
He will place it in our line of vision
and we see it
but we do not know how it ties into our lives
or we don't understand why it's there.
Why not reach out and see
if it may be something
that ties into your destiny?
Isaac gets frustrated :)
He gets frustrated when he can't make his hands work!
But it comes as a natural frustration -
one that forces him to try harder.
At times of change , when we are stepping into a new season ,
and struggling to cope with all that is happening
inside of us as well as around us -
it is okay to feel frustrated.
As long as the frustration is not anger
and as long as it keeps pushing you to grow
while at the same moment daring you
to stand still and not run away.
And finally - Isaac has his first tooth :)
Yes , it's painful.
Yes , it takes time.
Yes , its messy when Isaac drools everywhere.
But now he has an outward confirmation of growth that was happening inwardly.
Does it make you think???
Has your growth been messy , painful and l-o-n-g ???
I bet it has!
Don't give up on the growth process.
Don't stop trusting your Father - He knows what's best for His children.
Let me leave you with one last thought...
the same understanding we show an infant in his teething phase -
is the same compassion and understanding
we should try to show those around us
who may be in the midst of a messy growth season
and is the same compassion and understanding
we should show ourselves
in that same season ;)
Blessings.
